I absolutely love the DESLOC V150! I was a bit nervous about how well the facial recognition would work since that's not a feature I'd seen (let alone used) before on a smart lock, and most fingerprint scanners don't pick up my prints well, but both methods work wonderfully. 95% of the time, I just walk up, pause for up to 3 seconds, and it unlocks the door for me. The other 5% of the time, I use my thumb print, and this lock has never had an issue recognizing it. There is a keyhole hidden under the fingerprint scanner, but I haven't had to use that yet. I also love that it has solar charging that works in low light because my door is fully covered by a porch. I've been using it for a few months now, and still show a full battery.The lock feels very sturdy, and the other DESLOC products I've had were excellent quality, so I feel like everything's secure when I'm not home. I really like that I can double check whether the door is locked through the app when I'm gone, and that it sends me a notification if the door has been unlocked for a certain amount of time.Installation was very easy, and adding other users was straightforward. No notes, just very happy with the product!

Wow, where do I start. This smart door lock is great. It has a very premium and modern look to it. Also the installation process was easy. It took me less than about 10 minutes to install this smart door lock. This has got to be the smartest door lock that I’ve ever had. It has so many different features. The main feature and one of the main reasons why I decided to get this smart lock over some of the other ones is the fact that it has solar charging. I have never seen or heard of a door lock that can be charged by solar. I think that feature is cool. That eliminates me having to buy batteries to recharge it like my old smart locks. We were always constantly having to change out the batteries, all the time, this lock solves that problem and save me money at the same time. So not only can it be charged with solar also on the included battery pack that comes with it, the battery pack can be charged via USB-C cable.Another feature that I like about this smart lock and another one of the biggest reasons why I chose this one is the fact that it has facial recognition. In my opinion, that’s too cool and super futuristic. Also, it can be unlocked with the fingerprint reader on it as well. If neither one of those are working, I can use the keys that it came with it, just in case the power goes out and it stops working, I still can unlock the door with the spare key that it came with. I gotta say this company thought of everything and that’s what makes this such a good smart. I highly recommend it.

My Wyze palm reader is a close second, but this lock is amazing. You don't even need to put your palm up in front of it because it can recognize your face. You may feel this is not a secure method of recognition, but when you experience your bank using face recognition on your cell phone opening your account, you know it works.Not only does this have the most advanced deadbolt features it also is solar charging. Although battery replacement on standard deadbolts happens infrequently enough to not classify it as a major nuisance, but this one never needs that. It's the joy I experience with my solar driven security cameras. The battery at 10,000 mAh is removable. The 3D facial recognition mentioned, as well as a curved fingerprint sensor, it even has built in Wi-Fi, app control, keys, it even is compatible with Alexa and Google assistant. It is ultimately weather resistant.The solar charging is very effective, so effective it charges with ambient light, as in no direct sunlight required. If you are concerned about installing this in a shady area, consider this" You can use this is a location that is total darkness and it will run for months, as many as eight plus without solar input. An intelligent BMS optimizes power, and USB-C provides emergency charging. So, if you do have it run flat a USB-C charging can give you up to eight months of power.You may wonder what about nighttime? How does that work without light for face recognition. It has that one covered as well in that it has built in IR for night use and even works with facial hair, hats, or glasses etc. which makes the entire experience hands free. Even the fingerprint sensor is fast. It can store up to 50 faces and fingerprints. I have used a myriad of deadbolt entry locks and none of them hold a candle to this one. Highly recommended.PS: If you want to know how popular and in demand this lock is it took a month for it to arrive from the order date. Order one now, it is worth the wait.

I tested the DESLOC V150 Plus Solar Smart Lock, a Wi-Fi deadbolt with keyless entry using 3D face recognition, fingerprint, app, auto lock, and local biometric storage, plus Alexa and Google Home integration, and it's solar powered, designed to eliminate battery anxiety and saying, "where is my key." What I liked: 3D face recognition is the star feature, and it felt good to breeze up to the door and have it unlocked smoothly without hunting for my phone, the fingerprint scanner was a nice backup when I was carrying groceries or anything, and the app control is a nice touch to grant access and check status without guessing. Auto lock is a major win for convenience, and it helps avoid the dreaded "door is unlocked, I forgot" narrative. Local biometric storage means you don't have to depend on cloud access for the basic function of the lock. The setup and usability of the lock with the Wi-Fi and voice assistants’ integration feels like more than just a standalone device. What I didn't like: 3D face recognition is dependent on lighting angle and in very bright light or an awkward angle, I had to try again, plus the solar powered nature of the lock means some consideration of where to put it to ensure good lighting or overseeing the charge of the lock more often than you'd like to. Lastly, like many smart locks, it's best when it's properly configured, so plan for some time to get it to "click" with you. Functionality: I unboxed and set up the lock via the app, set up my face and fingerprint, turned on auto lock, and then subsequently used the lock for daily entry using my face to unlock in the morning and my fingerprint when I was carrying things, and tested locking and unlocking via the app for sanity’s sake. Value for money: It's more expensive than your typical keyless deadbolts but with the Wi-Fi, 3D face recognition, fingerprint, app, and local biometric storage, it's value for money is there if you're looking for a high-tech keyless entry solution vs. a keypad replacement. Durability and capacity: It's a deadbolt designed for actual use on an exterior door and the capacity is more about the amount of people you can store and quickly access with the local biometric storage, but in terms of day-to-day use, the lock held up well in my testing. How I used it: I installed the lock on my door, connected it to Wi-Fi, set up my face and fingerprint, and then used voice and app buttons for quick checks. I also let the auto lock feature keep the door locked to test its efficacy. Bottom line: the DESLOC V150 Plus is a good smart lock upgrade if you're looking for keyless entry with multiple biometric options, just be prepared to fine-tune things to get the best from the 3D face recognition.
